Residents pay a weekly maintenance contribution (WMC) towards the cost of their accommodation and the services provided, and this is normally reviewed annually. The majority of our residents receive housing benefit that covers most if not all of the WMC. In addition, all residents pay a contribution towards the cost of providing heating and hot water; this is not eligible for state benefit. This means that, if you are in receipt of full housing benefit, you will only pay the heating & hot water charge, which is currently £12 per week. Residents are responsible for their own council tax, electricity, and telephone charges. The Operations Manager is available to advise and support residents in applying for Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and Council Tax Benefit.
